Business social network, LinkedIn were evaluating their expansion strategy across Europe for their Hiring Solutions Business. With limited resources, and many options available, they needed us to advise on which countries to prioritise, as well as understand how to go about entering these new markets.
As part of the project, we started by looking into LinkedIn’s current performance in Europe, along with conducting secondary research into the market size and maturity. After consulting with LinkedIn, we conducted a deep dive into key countries, using primary research (such as executive interviews), and detailed research. We were then able to deliver a roadmap of which countriesLinkedIn should enter, when, and most importantly, how.
The strategy review results were presented to the Board of Directors of LinkedIn, where they were approved. Since implementing the strategy, the Hiring Solutions Business (now known as Talent Solutions) has become both the largest, and fastest growing revenue generator for the company.
